Garmin have recently announced the new Nuvi 1690. Probably the most notable new feature is a built-in wireless module which allows you to access online information like Google search, weather and fuel prices.

The Mio Moov V735 is an interesting device with potential although it still lags behind Garmin and TomTom, both in terms of usability and routing performance. We also feel this device is too big to use on a day to day basis as a navigation device.

The user interface and routing performance will need to be improved further before it can mount a serious challenge to either Garmin or TomTom.

If you compare it to the likes of the Nuvi 250W it is quite a bit more expensive. So what extras do you get and is it worth the extra money? This review will try to help you decide.

The Nuvi 770 is identical to the Nuvi 760 except it has transatlantic maps covering both Europe and North America, whereas the Nuvi 760 just has European mapping. If you don’t need the North American maps then save yourself some money and go for the Nuvi 760.
