If you’re looking for faster battery charging, and the ability to browse the internet and stream media to your TV, then the DVR station performs reasonably well.

But there are issues when recording multiple programs, and back-to-back recordings do not work. The wireless keyboard is too small and not really that useful either. A full sized keyboard would be a welcome improvement in the future.

Overall we were impressed with the Archos 5. It is a well constructed nice looking piece of kit. It has a good web browser and streaming photos, music and videos to the Archos 5 was a hassle free process. It also offers plenty of room for expansion such as the DVR station and other add-ons. Functionality can be further enhanced by downloading widgets.
