I have a Navman N40i which I upgraded a few years ago with 2007 mapping.
I want to cut out the maps I dont use for various countries in Europe as these take time every time I switch on the unit.
I seem to remember when I got the new disc I could select the countries I wanted to have on the SD card but cant remember how to do this . Can you provide any help please.
I have had the medion pocket pc for 6 years now and would be lost without it unfortunatley the wire on the adaptor that goes into the cigarette
holder has worn, can you please tell me were I can get a replacement model no mdppc250

The best advice i can give on this matter would be to call Navman, there best number would be 0845 5211133 they will tell you how to do it straight away.

The Laptop Power Supply Shop would be the best place to get one of these. Just type the company name into google then go from there.

To be perfectly honest the first and last time I called Navman customer services they were very rude, impolite and abrupt, most unhelpful, belligerant, bad mannered, unsupportive and the worst customer service I’ve ever come across in my life, and this was within a few weeks of having purchased the unit.
I’m sure it should be straightforward and I’ll will keep trying, I’m not the best when it comes to IT I’m afraid.

Just paid 49.99 for Garmin update for nuvi255w try to download and all I get is “gathering information” I have plugged all in correctly ,have a Belkin USB lead, still no luck please help

I have the sony NV-U53.I have a problem that it wont switch off from simulation mode,even when the reset button has been tried several times.Any suggestions?
i have a Tom Tom 700 which i have had for years but never updated ! i will be traveling in the UK France and spain do i pay for map up dates on my old sat nav or buy new if i buy new which one also is there a one off free or is it each month to keep sat nav working i do not pay a fee at the moment regards G

I purchased a new Landrover Discovery 4 HSE last year (Nov 2010)I asked the dealer to programme the sat nav on the car for Greece as I was planning a Europe tour in the winter.I was told that the system is a “hard drive” on this “top model” and as such no need to programme as it covers ALL OF EUROPE ! you’v guessed it !
Yes,it covered the UK,France,Italy etc,but on arrival in Greece :- “no license/no signal” ???
All of Europe indeed ? When I informed the dealer all I got was a shrugg of shoulders ! and apparently they say there is no explanation,it covers some counties but not all !!! “all of Europe” ?
Although I feel inclined to sue Landrover (obviously a time waster !) All I WANT IS SOME LOGICAL explanation as to why it doesnt work in Greece,can anything be done (the dealer says its a “hard disc” so cant be upgraded ?)and is anyone clever enough out there to make/offer any advise if this can be corrected or not ?
Yes,I have bought a map!But it is the principal of the matter after spending tens of thousands on a car claiming something that it cant !
A second trip to Greece is planned for this winter so please help !
