The Cygnett Unison i-X5 are a decent set of speakers which are compact, look good and produce excellent sound. But there are issues with the docking station when connected to a PC which you need to be aware of before buying.

If you’re looking for faster battery charging, and the ability to browse the internet and stream media to your TV, then the DVR station performs reasonably well.

But there are issues when recording multiple programs, and back-to-back recordings do not work. The wireless keyboard is too small and not really that useful either. A full sized keyboard would be a welcome improvement in the future.

The redesigned cradle is a welcome improvement over previous models, and the addition of features like Text to Speech (TTS) and visual speed warnings is good to see.

The Navman S100 though is let down by the new Glide Touch interface which we consider a gimmick more than a useful feature.

Overall we were impressed with the Archos 5. It is a well constructed nice looking piece of kit. It has a good web browser and streaming photos, music and videos to the Archos 5 was a hassle free process. It also offers plenty of room for expansion such as the DVR station and other add-ons. Functionality can be further enhanced by downloading widgets.
