How safe is our identity?
March 30th, 2007 · 2 Comments
I was reading on the BBC Technology web site earlier about hackers who had stolen information from at least 45.7 million payment cards used by customers of US retailer TJX, which owns TJ Maxx, and UK outlet TKMaxx.
Hackers managed to access information from its TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods shops in the US and Puerto Rico, Bob’s Stores in the US, and Winners and HomeSense shops in Canada. The security breach may also have involved TKMaxx customers in the UK and Ireland.

Zen Performs Well In UK Broadband Survey
March 29th, 2007 · No Comments
/>Many of you in the UK may be familiar with a recent broadband satisfaction survey conducted by the BBC Watchdog program.

Fight Global Warming With LocalCooling

But the application allows you to set these features in a much more user friendly way than via the control panel.

The product description page no longer shows the text ‘Coming Soon’ and I’ve noticed that it is now listed in the IOGEAR Peripherals page. There is no ‘Buy Now’ button or price displayed on the [...]
IOGEAR Digital Scribe
February 13th, 2007 · 10 Comments
Digital pens have been around for a while but the IOGear Digital Scribe is the first one I’ve seen that can be used on any type of paper. It captures your handwriting and stores it on the pen’s internal memory. This can then be transferred to your computer either straight away or a later date.
Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn Herd 3 Released
February 2nd, 2007 · No Comments
We’re getting closer to the next release of Ubuntu. Feisty Fawn is due for release on April 19th. Looking at the Feisty Release Schedule everything looks on schedule as always. The development team did a great job getting Edgy out on schedule so I have no doubt the same will apply for Feisty Fawn.
