you will also find that if you owe them money through a service they do not provide that they get there debt recovery agents against you and other companies this is a illegal act they also break the law by giving your information out to agencies which is against the law and they even do it why they are reviewing the case which gives you 28 days where they are not allowed to do anything

After being very critical of 3 they took it upon themselves to harass me to such an extent that I spent 2 weeks in hospital.

The matter is now in the hands of the Police.

it would check your 15gb allowance and how much going over this allowance costs per mb because it seems way to much i would also request a itemised bill and look to reporting to the office of fair trading

I've had to post a comment once I've seen the amount of other people who too have had issues with 3 Mobile Broadband.

I've had a MiFi dongle for about 7 months so far. I pay just £15 per month for 15GB of Internet. Luckily I'm only on a 30 days rolling contract.

First when I signed up I got a 3 month free subscription to Spotify. At the time I was told I would not automatically renew onto the £10 per month charge, instead would be offered the option at the end of the 3 month trial. How wrong! I noticed I'd been charged the £10 mid-month 4. I emailed 3 and they replied saying they had refunded the charge and cancelled my subscription.

The next month I again got chared the £10 and again email them. This time they refunded the £10 but did actually cancel the subscription.

All seemed fine, except last month I somehow when over my 15GB usage (caused by updated my iMac and iPad software etc).

I had managed to spend £15 in the space of 25 minutes. I called 3 Customer Service and spend 40 minutes on the telephone to India getting nowhere.

They seemed to think them sending "text messages" to my MiFi sim card was an acceptable way to communicate. The MiFi dongle does not vibrate or even make a noise when a text is received.

Anyway, as a gesture they offered by a £10 credit and I accepted paying the £5.

This time, knowing how it all worked I kept an eye on the MiFi obsessively. The next month I noticed a text had been received. Logged into the dongle via my iPad and found a text saying I'd only 20% of my allowance left. I emailed Three Customer Service to see if I could this time by a "Add-on" or ensure put a block on my account to prevent me going over my 15GB.

I got a reply in a couple of day and they said no to the add-on but said they had put my account on a Zero Credit Limit and I would not be able to use the Internet over my allowance. I thought great, I can relax.

I used the Internet for a few more days without worry and to my horror I managed to run up a £11 Internet in 10 minutes of usage over my limit again!!

I telephone the customer service who said I had indeed got a zero credit limit and they refunded the £11 straight away.

While I was on the telephone to then I had switched the dongle on to obtain my number off it via my iPad and my iPad just receiving 2 emails (one from bloomin' Argos and one from Burtons) had added 3.57 to my Internet usage!! I was fuming and they refunded that.

The guy on the phoned seemed sincere and said turn the dongle off, he would reset my 30 days contract again from that day and in the morning I would start a new month and he'd ensure a zero limit would be applied.

Just turned my dongle on, I've no Internet usage and still being charge (as typing I'm in the queue again for Customer Service).

THIS TIME I AM CANCELLING.

Avoid avoid avoid!

P.s. They only got thing I would say is in Liverpool I enjoy 2 1/2 mb speeds constantly.

I have a theory on why service is so bad for the first part of each month - users who have used above a certain percentage of their allowance are penalised with slow speeds for the a period at the beginning of each month. It's a very 3 thing to do and of course they'll never admit to it if it is true.

Has anyone else in this position noticed a similar pattern?

I have now had to bring 3Ireland to the small claims court. The "regulatory" body ComReg here in Ireland does nothing, they have informed me that their role is to "open the channels of communication", not adjudicate or mediate. So maybe they should change their name?? I thought they were supposed to regulate and enforce the Communications Act? obviously not, just like all the other "regulatory" bodies in Ireland who allow banks and corporations to get away with murder.

Will update when I get a response.
