e Garmin Portable Friction Mount, it's easy to move the mount and gps unit down to the floor when I park. Yeah a thief could still see it if they came right up to my car but at least it's not obvious from halfway across the parking lot like a windshield mount is.

Emily,
I had a look on the Garmin web site. It does list several Streetpilot models as being compatible, but I don't see the C330 listed, so I can only assume it is not compatible.

I have an older garmin...the streetpilot c330. will this work with my model or only nuvis? It is a larger device...the tube television version if you will...and ALWAYS falls off the windshield.

I guess if you leave the friction mount on your dashboard when you park then someone might think you have a sat nav hidden in your vehicle.

The safest thing to do is put the friction mount in the boot when you park.

The great thing about the friction mount is that it doesn't leave any marks on the dashboard. This is unlike some windscreen suction cups which can leave a ring mark on the windscreen.
