Hi, my hubby bought me a Navman S50 3D for a birthday present, I registered it and was supposed to get a free update, but that never happened… so, today I decided to try and buy the latest update. However, although they are downloadable updates, they are apparently out of stock…. Has anyone, since 2009, been able to update their maps on this Sat Nav? I’m not impressed that I didn’t get my free update, and now can’t even buy one!

hi kay bob the problem is power some cables dont seem to suport charging, also i tried using incar usb they seem to not be able to give enough power. on ebay cables seem to be hit or miss, i am now buying genuine parts and problem resolved, hope this helps i use s70

Hello Kay,
I had a similar problem with my S50 last year and it appeared to be a voltage situation.
My difficulty was with wall chargers and not “in car” but maybe the problem will be similar.
Go to posts # 86, 90, 94, 97 and 98. They might give you a clue as to how to solve your dilemma.

Hello, my Navman S50 car charger broke so I bought a generic one….now when I plug in my Navman to drive and charge at the same time, it comes up with a black screen with a picture of a PC connected to a Navman via a USB cord.
It won’t let me use my Navman while it’s charging. Do I need to buy a Navman Car Charger rather a generic one? Would really appreciate any advice/help. Thanks!

Hola,adquirí el modelo navman s50 hace tres años pero desde hace mas de 6 meses que no me funciona el manos libres con mi teléfono,ni con el de mi mujer,vamos que esta muerto.alguien me podría ayudar

I have just got a second hand navman s50 sat-nav
i did not get the dvd/cd that you get when you buy new in box can any one tell me where to get a copy or even send me a copy of theres to my e-mail it would be really appretiated and a big help to me thanks.

I have a navman S50 3D…
The problem i have is that i cannot get any other screen other than the one showing connect navman to computer… can any one assist me??

Hi. I tried to up-date my S50 with the Navman 2009 up-dates but when I tried to use it the maps would reach about 34% and then state that it could not plot the route and to check route preferences. I did this ad nauseam with no luck. I then deleted all maps and then re-loaded from the up-date disc. This worked but the camera alerts were gone and on a trip up north the S50 failed and the system could not carry on plotting the route. This happened twice on two trips at exactly the same place (M18 turnoff from M1). After reloading maps the S50 stated that some maps were not loaded correctly but Navdesk said all was OK. Any comments anyone? PS No reply from Navman!!

I have a Navman S50 and I accept crashes when route directions. also tried to reset, but I already push the final stage is also suspended in August. assistance.
