I've been looking for a chat room or other connection where I could get some information about the possibility of using some of my old software, such as via-voice an old version of quicken which I had on my old computer and now am having trouble trying to install on my new Vista Windows Home Premium. Can anyone help or am I stuck for new software to continue doing what I had been doing? Seems Microsoft is not being very user friendly if they change so that old software won't work on new computers. Please reply to: mnewo1@verizon.net .
Thanks,
Owen

Old versions are often "smaller" programs that take up les space on the hard drive and use less memory. I remember upgrading to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and immediately going back to the old version. Same with Acrobat Reader.

Yeah that's true. Not all latest softwares are always the best. Some are good but some are not good for you. It depends upon your requirements. OldVersion.com is the place for the old but useful softwares.

Oldversion.com has been a life saver for me on many occasions. It is especially useful for applications where your client has a license for an old version of an application that does not work with a new version and the client has inadvertently deleted the installer for their older version.

I've also found it useful for rolling back "improved" applications. Like their slogan says, "because newer is not always better".
