It is exactly one year since I started blogging. I will have a little drink later to celebrate
Thanks to everyone for participating in this blog. Whether you’re a new reader or one of the regular readers or commentators. Your input is appreciated and motivates me to carry on.
I’m sure there are lots of lurkers who visit this blog too. The definition of a lurker is someone who visits a web site but never leaves a comment. If you’re a lurker then why not pluck up courage and leave a comment at the end of this post. I’d love to hear your thoughts. what you like or dislike, or any articles you’d like to see more of. Even if you just want to leave a comment saying happy birthday or what part of the world you live in, any comment is welcome.

This was my very first post. I used to blog quite a bit about broadband related topics in the early days.
Looking back over the last year I am pleased with how this blog has developed. Some of my articles have attracted far more traffic than I imagined and my Feedburner subscribers numbers, although not stellar, have now reached triple digits.
My current blogging schedule is 2 posts a week (normally Tuesday and Thursday). I will stick to that schedule for now. I’d love to write articles on a daily basis, but with a full time job and family to look after, it’s important for me to get the right balance between blogging and my personal life.
Blogging can be tough at times, especially when you run out of ideas on what to blog about. But I intend to carry this blog through for the long slog. Some blogs achieve rapid success and huge subscriber numbers in a matter of months, either through incredible luck, fantastic marketing, or by writing extremely high quality content. I’d admire these bloggers and good luck to them. But for most bloggers you need to be in the blogging business for several years before seeing any returns.
I hope you can stick around for the next year
