The latest version of WordPress, version 2.0.6 has been released to the public. This page will explain how to upgrade to WordPress 2.0.6. If you’re upgrading from WordPress 2.0.5 then the upgrade is very simple. This will page will explain how to upgrade from WordPress 2.0.5 to 2.0.6.
The WordPress 2.0.6 release includes a number of security fixes and everyone is recommended to upgrade. It also includes a new version of the Akismet spam blocker.
Upgrading is very straightforward. I’ve updated two blogs including this one very easily. As always it is worth backing up your entire blog before upgrading.
