One of the things that frustrates me about Google Earth is that it has no detailed images of my home town, I just get a huge blur of green. Well, using Atlas from Fresh Logic I can now view more detailed images of where I live. The images look fairly old – about 8 years or so, but it’s a vast improvement on Google Earth. I recommend you give it a go.

Whereas I really don’t like Google Earth and am always looking for an alternative, I must disagree with this comment – it really wasn’t worth the visit. It works slightly slower than Google’s Earth and contains an advertising banner! It’s also good to keep in mind that it’s powered by Microsoft’s visual earth – so really fresh logic’s offering isn’t up to much at-all.
